Youth of all ages are encouraged to participate; deadline April 18

The Washington State Department of Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is accepting applications for this year’s Youth Art Contest with the theme of “Environmental Justice League.” Young people in grades K-12 are encouraged to submit an art project, using any medium, which depicts representations of environmental justice in action.

There are four grade into four categories: K-2, grades 3-5, grades 6-8, and grades 9-12. Prizes will be awarded in each category: 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Select artwork will be displayed on the DNR website.

Artwork must be submitted by 9 p.m. April 18, 2023. The 2023 DNR art contest rules here. Voting begins at 11 a.m. on April 19 and ends at 5 p.m. on April 26. Contest winners will be announced on April 27. Select artwork will be displayed on the DNR website.
