Chelan County invites you to take this brief survey

information released

Communities around Chelan County are planning for a more sustainable tomorrow – and we need your input!

We’ve posted a survey on our website that seeks your thoughts on such things as what natural hazards in Chelan County you are concerned about and what projects you would prioritize to build upon climate resilience.

The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and is open now. (I’ve already taken it!) It asks you to share your observations, concerns and ideas to help shape our communities’ approaches to climate resilience and adaptation.

Last year, Chelan County initiated a new climate resiliency planning process to develop a Climate Resilience Element as part of the County’s Comprehensive Plan update. The process is the result of new state legislation requiring each city and county to integrate climate resilience into the Comprehensive Plan’s goals and policies.

City residents should contact their local planning department for more information on their city’s planning process. Learn more about the County’s planning process on our website.

And take the survey! It’s an opportunity to join in a community conversation underway.
