Manson football played an exciting game this last Friday night (10/25). The Trojans had the ball twice late in the 4th quarter to try and take the lead. Unfortunately, they could not get the ball in the end zone, but the effort by the team was very apparent.

The highlight of the night was when the Trojans were down 13-25 and Tucker Flowers threw a jump ball up for Caden Beazley. Beazley went up between 2 defenders and came down with the reception and the touchdown. He pounded in the 2-point conversion to make the game 21-25.

The defense played another amazing game and ended the game with 4 takeaways. The Trojans had 3 interceptions and 1 fumble recovery returned for a touchdown. The Trojans were led by Parker Schoenwald on defense who ended the game with 10 tackles.

On offense, the Trojans ran into a brick wall up front. They ran for 50 total yards all night, but the positive was that they were able to finally get their passing game going. Tucker Flowers threw for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns, both to Caden Beazley. Nick Strecker had 4 receptions on the night and a crucial 30 yard catch late in the game.

Manson sits at 4-4 on the season and will host the Mabton Vikings next Friday (11/1) for Senior Night in a non-league matchup. On November 8th the Trojans will play in a crossover playoff game on the road.
