Erosion control project to repair riverbank areas impacted by winter storm
information released; WSDOT file photo from December 2025
Travelers should plan for added travel time on State Route 207 near Coles Corner (mileposts 0 to 1) for two consecutive weeks. Flagger-controlled single-lane alternating traffic will be in place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting April 3.
Contractors associated with the Washington State Department of Transportation will work to repair the embankment in two spots of SR 207, between the intersection of the roadway with US 2 at Coles Corner (located 14 miles west of Leavenworth) and milepost 1. December flooding eroded sections of the riverbank next to the highway.
