Expect 2-8 inches accumulation in the Cascade passes the next two days
information released
The National Weather Service is announcing an incoming winter travel alert starting today. Snow is expected to make challenging conditions across the Cascade passes from Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon.
An incoming system will result in snow along mountain passes in Central WA, Eastern WA, North ID, and in the Cascades. Right now, snow amounts look to be between 2-8 inches in the Cascades with the highest amounts near the Cascade crest. The majority of the snow in the Cascades will fall Tuesday evening through Wednesday.
This will bring slick travel conditions over mountain passes on Tuesday night through Thursday morning, and very cold conditions for outdoor travelers. Please take precautions if you plan on being outdoors or traveling through these areas.
