Something special is happening at Manson’s Willow Point Park this year. A new playground structure for two to five year olds is being added to the park, thanks to the Lake Chelan Rotary Club who secured funding for the new equipment and installation.

This is great news for families looking for safe, fun outdoor play spaces in Manson.

Recently volunteers from the Rotary Club and Manson Parks and Recreation tackled the actual equipment installation. The 2 day operation included assembly of the structure on day 1 and pouring cement on day 2.

Lake Chelan Rotarians sent a special shout to Tom Koenig who organized this project and worked to get the matching district grant, and  to Brian Patterson who was key in organizing the assembly preparation.

There is a little more work to do before the playground will be ready for use: The area will be framed with wood and the playground floor will be filled with engineered wood chips which have not arrived yet.

Anyone want to venture a guess as to how many pieces there are to this structure?
