During a recent commission meeting, the Chelan County PUD Commissioners recognized the Parks Team of: Jessica Stuart, Kevin Scott, Benito Vivar, Chris Glasspool and Kyle Endelman for their service to Beebe Bridge Park users during the July wildfire that threatened closure of the park.

The popular 56-acre park, located on the banks of the Columbia River, is in close proximity to where the Chelan Hills Acres Fire ignited. Park personnel made sure campers occupying the 47 tent and RV sites were kept informed and safe.

Beebe Bridge Park is one of the PUD’s 15 parks which collectively comprise over 700 acres of green space, trails, shoreline and other public access amenities. The parks were developed under recreation plans required by the federal government as part of the PUD’s licenses to operate the Rocky Reach, Rock Island and Lake Chelan hydro projects.
