Pop-up Library 0pens in larger space August 31st

A message from the Chelan Public Library

Dear neighbors,

Exciting news!

We found a bigger (temporary) space! On Friday, August 21, our lobby pop-up at the Chelan Library will close.

Then, on Monday, August 31, we will open a new, temporary pop-up library at the Old Chelan Hospital building, now known as The HUB: Lake Chelan Business Center, located at 503 E. Highland Avenue #207.

This temporary location will be open through the end of the year while the City of Chelan’s structural repairs move forward.

📚 What’s better about the new space?

Our little lobby pop-up did a lot. This one offers more. More shelving for more books, more public computers, space for programs, and somewhere comfortable to actually sit down.

Let’s Be Honest

This is a temporary space, and it looks like one. Our facilities team is painting now, and we’re making it as welcoming as we can. The new furniture and finishes are in storage waiting for the permanent library. We’d rather put your tax dollars into the building you’re keeping than the one we’re borrowing for a few months.

We are moving to a temporary location as the City works to complete the structural repairs needed. Once those are done, our facilities team will return to complete the interior refresh.
