The Trojans travelled to Brewster on Thursday and lost in 3 sets

Set scores were 13-25, 13-25 and 15-25. The scores in Thursday’s match, do not reflect the heart and fight the Trojans showed. Manson played tough defense, extending rallies that allowed the offense to play aggressive and quick.

The Trojans took risks and played a fast paced offense.

  • Highlights came from Maycee Ward, who led the team in kills with 9 and added 8 digs.
  • Kendall Petre les the team with 2 blocks.
  • Defensively, Melanie Marin had a fantastic night, leading the team with 13 digs.
  • Josephine Thompson also picked up 8 digs for the Trojans.

Thursday’s loss puts Manson’s record at 9-5 overall and 4-3 in league.

In JV Action, the Trojans lost all 3 sets with scores of 17-25, 25-27 and 17-25.

  • Leading the team in kills was Esme Angulo with 4, and Devan Regan and Sarah Simmons added 3 apiece.
  • Behind the service line, highlights include: Sarah Simmons with 9/9 and 1 ace, the only Trojan to serve 100% in the JV game.
  • Devan Regan served 7/9 with 2 aces and Esme Angulo served 12/15.

Thursday’s loss puts the Manson JV record at 11-2 overall and 6-1 in league.

In C Squad action, the Trojans won the match; 2 sets to Brewster’s 1, with set scores of 25-15, 25-21 and 22-25.

  • Highlights include 4 digs for Mia Marquez and 3 for Esme Estrada.
  • Esme was also the only Trojan to serve 100% for her team: 4/4 with 1 ace.
  • Bryanna Harris served 10/12 with 2 aces and Joselin Nunez served 7/9 with 3 aces.

It was a great night of volleyball.
