State Champions to be Honored with Parade and Party
by Dennis Rahm
The community is invited to celebrate the Manson Trojans’ first-ever state volleyball title on Saturday, November 18. Cheer on the Trojan players and coaches at a 10:00 a.m. parade through downtown, followed by a party in the park. The party will start at the conclusion of the parade at Manson Bay Park, and will feature an introduction of the players and coaches, photo opportunities and DJ music.
As a result of the parade, Wapato Way will be closed to traffic from Totem Pole Road to Pedoi Street from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Saturday.
The Trojan volleyball squad finished the season undefeated and dominated the 2B championships last week at the SunDome in Yakima. The Manson championship match win over Lind-Ritzville-Sprague was not only their first state title, but also the first state team championship in school history. You can relive all of the tournament action with our State Tournament Update post!
Go Trojans!
