Girls Fall Short; Boys Steamroll to Victory after Giant 2nd Quarter

Girls’ Recap: Bridgeport 42, Manson 30.
Monica Trejo and K. Torres scored 10 each for Bridgeport. Manson’s Megan Clausen had 17 pts, and junior Evelyn Dejesus had 8 pts, 12 rebounds and 7 steals. Monica
Boys’ Recap: Manson played a gritty 32 minutes to defeat Bridgeport 69-48. A 21-5 run in the 2nd quarter helped the Trojan stake a double digit lead that they didn’t relinquish.
Manson was led by 3 scorers in double figures including a huge game from Jake Lodwig with 28 points. Nick Strecker contributed 16 and Avery Thompson with 14.
Manson travels to Waterville for a double-header next Tuesday.
