Back to back weekends, and the days in between, are full of winter fun
information released
Who says January has to be boring? Lake Chelan Winterfest is returning January 15–24, 2027, bringing two weekends of ice sculptures, beach bonfires, fireworks, live music, local wine, and family-friendly fun to the Lake Chelan Valley.
Presented by the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce, Winterfest has become one of the region’s favorite winter traditions, drawing visitors to Chelan and Manson for a celebration that gives everyone a reason to bundle up, get outside, and enjoy the season.
“Winterfest is one of those events that reminds people Lake Chelan isn’t just a summer destination,” said Mike Steele, Executive Director of the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce. “There’s something pretty special about watching fireworks over the lake in January and gathering around a massive bonfire with hundreds of other people. It’s a completely different side of Lake Chelan, and we love sharing it with visitors.”
Beyond the signature ice and fire attractions, Winterfest offers opportunities to experience the Lake Chelan Valley’s award-winning wine scene, local restaurants, shops, and lodging. Festival favorites include the Winterfest Wine Walk, Bubble Brunch, Ice Bar, Fire Bar, and activities designed for visitors of all ages.
The event also plays an important role in supporting the Lake Chelan Valley’s year-round economy, bringing visitors to the region during a traditionally quieter tourism season.
“January is typically a slower time for many of our local businesses, and Winterfest helps change that,” said Steele. “When visitors come for the festival, they’re also booking rooms, dining at our restaurants, shopping downtown, and discovering everything our valley has to offer beyond the summer months. That impact is something we’re incredibly proud of.”
With two weekends, two communities, and plenty to experience in between, Winterfest invites visitors to discover why winter in Lake Chelan deserves a spot on their calendar.
Additional event details, ticket information, and the full schedule of activities will be announced in the coming weeks. For more information, visit LakeChelanWinterfest.com
