Watch for students in crosswalks; obey speed limits and school bus signals

The Lake Chelan School District (LCSD) is excited to welcome students back to school on Tuesday, September 1 for what promises to be a year of curiosity and learning for all students and staff. It should also be noted that our preschool and kindergarten students will begin their school year on September 8th. This year will be filled with abundant opportunities for our students to experience growth and to achieve, believe, and contribute, the ABCs of our Lake Chelan School District.

Staff have been hard at work preparing for our new year and eagerly anticipate the chance to once again engage in learning activities with our students. If families have students who are not yet registered for school, there is still time. The LCSD is accepting students and all grade levels including preschool. Also new this year are additional open slots at our Chelan Digital Academy for students in grades 9-12. Please feel free to call (509)682-3515 with any questions.

As our community gears up for the school year, safety remains a top priority.

We kindly ask everyone to help keep our students safe by:

  • Slowing down in school zones
  • Watching for students in crosswalks
  • Stopping for school buses when their stop signs are extended
