Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with a drone light show over the Lake on Sunday, July 5th
information released
The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce Lights Over the Lake, a first ever drone light show taking place Sunday, July 5 at 10:00 p.m. over Lake Chelan in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
Featuring hundreds of illuminated drones synchronized through music, motion, and storytelling, the show will transform the night sky into a moving work of art inspired by the landscapes, agriculture, history, and spirit of the Lake Chelan Valley. The approximately 10 to 12 minute production is designed to create a one of a kind experience for residents and visitors spending Fourth of July weekend in Chelan.
Unlike a traditional fireworks display, drone technology allows for intricate animated formations and storytelling in the sky, creating an immersive visual experience above the lakefront.
“This is something completely new for Lake Chelan,” said Mike Steele, Executive Director of the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce. “We wanted to create an experience that celebrates both our nation’s milestone anniversary and the beauty and identity of our valley in a modern and memorable way.”

Visitors are encouraged to spend the weekend enjoying everything the Lake Chelan Valley has to offer, from boating and wine tasting to shopping, live music, dining, and events happening throughout the summer.
The Chamber is currently seeking event sponsors to help support the production. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $1,000 and include visibility throughout one of the busiest tourism weekends of the summer season.
