Community Members encouraged to apply to serve on new CFTF

information released

The Manson School District is launching a Community Facilities Task Force (CFTF) to help guide the development of a comprehensive long-range facilities plan for the District. The Task Force will play a central advisory role in a year-long planning process focused on identifying facility needs, prioritizing investments, and aligning future capital improvements with the district’s strategic plan goals, student safety, and community values. The committee will provide recommendations to District leadership and the School Board, culminating in a final report on or around February 2027.

The CFTF will be comprised of approximately 20 community members representing a broad range of perspectives and expertise, including construction and facilities, finance, parents, local business leaders, and community partners. The committee will also include representatives from the School Board, the Superintendent, and employee groups. Together, members will review technical facility assessments, consider enrollment and program trends, evaluate grants and funding strategies, and ensure that educational needs and facility preservation remain at the center of long-term planning. The Task Force will also seek broad staff community input and explore practical, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions that build upon past investments and local priorities. Community members who live within the Manson School District and are interested in contributing to this important work are encouraged to apply to serve on the Task Force. The district is seeking individuals with diverse backgrounds and perspectives who are willing to collaborate, provide input, and help shape the future of school facilities.

Paper applications can be downloaded HERE or picked up at the district office, 135 Hill Street in Manson.

Applications are due to the Superintendent’s Office by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026.
