A contractor for the Washington State Department of Transportation will update guardrails on two stretches of US 97, one near the Lauderdale Junction of US 97 and US 970 and another from north of the summit of Blewett Pass, to seven miles south of the Don Senn Memorial Interchange of US 2 and US 97.
The project is scheduled to start at 6 a.m., Tuesday March 31.
The contractor will remove the existing guardrail and set up new guardrail from milepost 154 to 155 and from milepost 167 to milepost 178 of US 97.
The project is expected to run Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The project is expected to be completed during the first week in June. Travelers can expect reduced speed limits, automatic- flagger-controlled traffic, temporary rumble strips, and pilot cars and should plan for delays
