Travel Alert: Anticipate delays near Coles Corner (US 2) and near Blewett Pass summit (US 97)

Coles Corner: Lane closures and reduced speed limits on US 2 Near Leavenworth June 1-3

Travelers to this area in Chelan County during the early days of June should add extra time to their trips, as a guardrail replacement project will close lanes and reduce speed limits on an 8-mile stretch of road west of this city.

Contractors associated with the Washington State Department of Transportation will remove and then replace guardrails and posts from milepost 87, two miles east of the junction of State Route 207 at Coles Corner, to milepost 95, four miles west of Leavenworth.

The work will take place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 1, 2, and 3.

Travelers will encounter pilot cars, alternating one-lane, two-way traffic, flaggers and a recommended 45-mph speed limit in both directions of US 2.

Lane closures and flaggers on US 97 Near Blewett Pass summit June 4

Travelers will encounter slowdowns and delays on US 97 near the summit to this pass for one day on a one-mile stretch of this highway.

Contractors associated with the Washington State Department of Transportation will remove and then replace guardrails and posts at milepost 168, four miles north of the summit.

The work will take place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 4.

Travelers will encounter pilot cars, alternating one-lane, two-way traffic, automatic flaggers and a recommended 45-mph speed limit in both directions of US 97.
