Manson Fire Chief, Arnold Baker, talks about cooperative efforts

A reminder that all unincorporated areas of Chelan County, as well as most cities including Chelan, are under a complete fireworks ban.
Fire Chief Arnold Baker of District 5 in Manson says the ban, now entering its third year, along with cooperative efforts of other entities including the Colville Confederated Tribes, has led to real change.

The ban on fireworks includes any consumer fireworks including sparklers. On June 18 the fire level designation moved from Moderate to High and will likely change to extremely high in a couple of weeks.
Baker encourages the public to support and attend the two sanctioned fireworks shows in the Lake Chelan Valley: the Manson 4th of July show and the Saturday, July 6th show in Chelan. Both shows are scheduled to begin around 10:00 p.m.
