Region-wide bridge patching work will require lane closures on 2 US 97 bridges between Chelan and Pateros starting Monday, April 11.

Monday morning, a contractor for the Washington State Department of Transportation will install a bridge containment system on the US 97 Beebe Bridge at milepost 234, in preparation for deck patching work. To do so, the contractor will close a lane of the bridge Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. next week only. The containment system will remain in place until the deck patching is completed next month.

Farther north on US 97 at milepost 254, the contractor will also close a lane of the Griggs Canyon Bridge in Pateros for deck patching. For that work, a temporary signal will be in place beginning Monday at 6 a.m. The signal will be in place 24 hours a day until the afternoon of Friday, April 15 at the latest.

Drivers are reminded to stay alert for bicyclists and motorcyclists and to obey traffic control when traveling through work zones. Updates for bridge deck work will be shared on the WSDOT real time travel map, and on Twitter at @WSDOT_East.
