Chelan County projects it will collect about $17 million in property taxes this year

The Chelan County Assessor has posted its annual Property Tax Summary Report.
The report is full of information, including the average property taxes on a $400,000 in different areas of the county, property tax distribution, the five-year trend for local levy rates and more.
Chelan County will collect about $17.1 million in property taxes this year. County roads will collect about $8.8 million.
New this year, the report also includes local tax increment financing area information on the East Chelan, North Wenatchee Redevelopment and Chelan-Douglas Regional Port Authority Malaga tax increment finance areas.
The report is a great resource for understanding where your property taxes are going. It also shows the top 10 taxpayers in Chelan County. In unincorporated Chelan County, it’s a close race between BNSF Railway and the Diamond Foundry.
