Throughout Chelan County for the week of July 10-14
information released
Please note: Bridge paving work on US 2/97 east of the Don Senn Memorial Interchange/Big Y is expected to cause delays up to 30 minutes during peak travel time. Work is scheduled for 24 hours a day is to wrap up by Saturday, July 15.
Paving and repair work will require lane closures and flagger controlled traffic on US 2/97 east of the Don Senn Memorial Interchange/Big Y beginning Monday, July 10.
To complete the work, the contractor will remove the center barrier between eastbound and westbound lanes and shift traffic to one side or the other during the paving and repair work. Traffic in both directions will be reduced to single lanes. There will be flagger controlled traffic heading east to merge eastbound traffic from US 97 Blewett Pass. Travelers in the area should plan for longer than normal travel times and eastbound travelers may encounter delays of 20-30 minutes during peak travel times. Access to all interchange ramps will remain in place through the project.
To expedite the work and minimize traffic delays for the public, the contractor will work 24/7 until the bridge paving is complete. The project is expected to take up to six days, but the schedule is weather and conditions dependent.
Updates for the permanent striping work will be shared on the real time travel map and on Twitter at @WSDOT_East.
