Chelan swept Okanogan in three games Tuesday night to finish the Caribou Trail League season with an unblemished 8-0 record. Overall, Chelan is 14-1 with their lone loss to Freeman.
Chelan won the Senior Night match by scores of 25-7, 25-6 and 25-4. The lone senior on the varsity roster to be recognized was standout Outside Hitter Lexie Gleasman who would finish the night with 12 kills and 14-14 serving.
The CTL Champs will next play on Friday night with a District Championship on the line against league rival Cascade starting at 7pm at Eastmont High School in East Wenatchee. Chelan defeated Cascade twice during the regular season and the two squads know each other well.
The winner of the Friday night District Championship will earn a big advantage by securing a home match in the next round of the playoffs against the number 3 seed from the Northeast 1A League. The loser between Chelan and Cascade will have to travel to meet a higher seeded team from the same conference. Those games will be played on Saturday, November 3 and the winners of both crossover games will advance to the State Volleyball Tournament in Yakima.
