CHS Basketball Teams “Turn Back the Clock” Friday at the Community Gym

Finally – a chance to dig out those old bellbottom pants and wing top shoes! On Friday, Dec. 14th the boys and girls basketball teams from Chelan High School will be participating in a “turn back the clock” night at the Chelan Community Gym against regional rival Brewster Bears.
The undefeated Brewster girls (5-0) will take on the 4-2 Lady Goats in the varsity game, tipping off at 5:45 p.m. Chelan boys (4-2) will entertain the 4-1 Bears immediately following the girls game with a scheduled tip off at 7:15 p.m.
Both teams and the cheerleaders will be participating in “old school” uniforms when they take the court against Brewster. Students in the Green Zone will be sporting retro clothing as well. All spectators are encouraged to wear their red and green colors or even break out their old CHS Letterman’s jacket to show their “Mountain Goat” spirit.
The fun factor increases with a performance by the Mini Goat Cheer Camp participants during half-time of the girls’ varsity game. These elementary age students have been practicing their cheer routine the past few days to prepare for their retro display.
Another focus of the evening will be to collect charitable donations for the Lorita Beeson memorial scholarship fund. Donations to this scholarship fund will benefit graduating seniors of Chelan High School.
