Newly reimagined space will reopen summer of 2026

Starting Monday, October 20, 2025, our library will temporarily close so we can reimagine and refresh the space.
Don’t worry – we’ll reopen in early summer 2026 with a whole new look inspired by YOU, our amazing Chelan community members.
What’s Coming?
- Fresh paint, updated lighting, and acoustic upgrades to make the space calmer and brighter.
- New furniture with comfy seating.
- A reimagined children’s area.
- A dedicated teen area.
- A quiet adult reading nook.
- Better shelving layout for easier browsing.
- Cozy touches like area rugs to complement the library’s beautiful floors.
During the Closure
The Chelan Library Team will be hosting a pop up library service with a small browsing collection, holds pick up, and public computers. More details coming soon!
