Information and photos provided by CHS Athletic Department

Chelan High School boys and girls cross country team traveled to Spokane to compete in Shadle Park’s Highlander Invitational. Chelan raced against 41 schools from Washington State, Idaho, and Montana.

According to the coaches, “the team ran exceptionally well”. The highlights include Tegan Silva who took 5th in the freshman girls’ race and Mireya Garibay who also placed fifth in the combined race. Both girl had amazing kicks in the last 200 meters to pass several runners.

On the boy’s side Chris Knight, a junior running in the senior race, just missed out on a ribbon placing 21st.

The final results are not posted yet. Stay tuned for times and places of our other runners.
