Projects scheduled for the week of May 4, 2026
information released; photo above: This week in Manson, plan to see our contractor on the Totem Pole Road Improvement Project working at the intersection of South Harris Avenue and Wapato Way.
In Manson, the Chelan crew will begin crack sealing in Mason, including in the areas of Manson Boulevard, Lower Joe Creek Road, Hill Street and Wapato Way. When crews are crack sealing, the work zone is at one lane, with flaggers directing traffic. Traffic impacts will be minimal; however, please be patient and obey flaggers. The Chelan Crew also will finish grading Downie Canyon Road.
On Monday, the Cashmere crew will begin ditching Brisky Canyon and Tabor roads. Plan for one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic on these roads. Later in the week, the Cashmere crew will finish grading dirt roads, mow brush and repair potholes across the district.
In Entiat, the crew will be grading Crum Canyon Road. The Leavenworth crew will be ditching in the lower Chiwawa River Pines area and on Cedar Brae Road. And the Wenatchee crew will be catching up on service requests.
TOTEM POLE ROAD PROJECT: We’ve got some progress on the Manson project. Our contractor has been on South Harris Avenue for several weeks now, installing stormwater facilities there. Crews have started to cross Wapato Way. Please be ready to see traffic impacts at the intersection.
The project is a little behind at this point. South Harris still needs some cleaning up — patching the trench, overlaying the road and installing the storm vault that will filter stormwater heading into the lake. So the contractor isn’t finished there. For more information on the Totem Pole Road Improvement Project, go to the project webpage.
ROAD ALERT: The Manson Apple Blossom Parade is May 9, and with the parade come temporary road closures. Highway 150 and Wapato Way will be closed from Quetilquasoon Road to Pedoi Street from 7 a.m. to about 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Use marked detour routes to get around the closure.
