FEMA assistance is now available for individuals and households impacted by the December 2025 flooding for residents of Chelan, Grays Harbor, King, Lewis, Pacific, Pierce, Skagit, Snohomish, Thurston and Whatcom counties.

Individuals and families who sustained losses in the designated areas should first file claims with their insurance providers and then apply for assistance online at DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling 1-800-621-3362, or by using the FEMA App, available in both the Apple and Google Play stores. The deadline to apply is June 10.

If you have received Washington State Disaster Assistance, you must report that assistance to FEMA to avoid duplication of benefits. Not reporting assistance may delay your FEMA application or result in FEMA requiring repayment of funds.

For questions, contact your case managers or the State Disaster Recovery Hotline at 833-719-4981. Watch for updates on the Chelan County Emergency Management webpage.

As a reminder, the U.S. Small Business Administration also has low-interest federal disaster loans available to Chelan County businesses, private nonprofits and residents to offset physical and economic losses from the December flooding event.

The deadline to return physical damage applications is April 27. The deadline to return economic injury applications is Nov. 24. More information is online.
