Chelan Athletes Contribute to 13U Babe Ruth Championship

Select All Star Team Travel Next to Calgary for Regional Tournament

Chelan Athletes Braiden Boyd and Reed Stamps have had a busy summer on the diamond and in the field.

Both boys have helped lead the 13U NCW Farmers Baseball Team and the Brewster Bears Select All Star Team to championships throughout the summer.

Incoming 8th grader Boyd and incoming freshman Stamps have competed in over 80 baseball games this season. The boys have traveled as far as Omaha, Nebraska where they were on their way to the championship bracket but due to thunderstorms, the final day of the tournament was cancelled.

On July 12th, Boyd and Stamps helped the Brewster All Star team win the Babe Ruth 13U State Championship defeating the Spokane Dodgers 5-4. The boys will next travel to Calgary, Alberta Canada to compete in the Babe Ruth 13U Regional Tournament.
