Winter Sports Season Starts This Week

The winter sports season gets underway this week for the Chelan wrestlers as well as the boys and girls basketball teams in Chelan and Manson.
The annual Chelan basketball jamboree takes place Tuesday at Chelan High School and will feature the host Goats as well as teams from Manson and Pateros. The action gets underway at 6pm with the girls from Manson and Pateros followed by the boys contest from the same schools.
In game three of the evening the Chelan Lady Goats take on Manson with the Goat and Trojan boys to follow in game four. The final contests of the jamboree will pit the Chelan girls and boys against squads from Pateros.
The first regular season basketball games for Chelan are on tap for this Thursday as the Lady Goats host Cle Ellum at 5:45pm with the boys to follow at 7pm. Manson also opens the regular season at home with a Wednesday double header against Entiat as the girls play at 6pm with the boys to follow.
Meanwhile, the Chelan wrestling program also starts their season this week with a jamboree at 6pm on Wednesday at Okanogan.
