Manson Victorious over Pateros

The Manson Trojan Volleyball team travelled to Pateros on Tuesday for a non-league contest. In Varsity action, the Trojans won 3 sets to 1. Set scores were 26-24, 25-22, 7-25 and 25-12.
Highlights for the night came from Stefany Luna, who served 18/20 with a streak of 10 serves, had 3 kills, 1 block and an overall fantastic game for the Trojans. Maycee Ward led the team with 7 kills and Josephine Thompson added 5.
Behind the service line, the Trojans served 90% as a team- Lauren Soliday served 12/12, Maycee Ward served 12/13 with 2 aces and Devyn Smith served 6/6. Lauren Soliday led the team with 16 digs, Josephine Thompson added 15 and Briseida Landa had 14.
The Varsity team struggled with finding their rhythm and energy- but stuck in there and pulled out the tight win.
In JV action- the Trojans won 2 sets to 1 with set scores of 25-16, 14-25 and 25-16.
Highlights for the Trojans came at the service line with 7 players serving 100% on the night including Jenny Cesar-Alonso (19/19 with a streak of 8), Natalie Solorio (7/7), Paige Schoenwald (7/7), Alexis Stotko (6/6), Ali Adame (3/3) and Kati Chavez (1/1). Overall, the Trojans served 90%.
Lexi Stotko led the team with 3 kills- Natalie Solorio added 2.
Next up: In Omak on Thursday, September 13- with JV to start at 5pm and Varsity to follow.
