Manson Volleyball Hosted Entiat in Season Opener

The Manson Trojan Volleyball team hosted Entiat in their first match of the season on Tuesday, and both the JV and Varsity won in three sets.
In Varsity action: set scores were 25-16, 25-16 and 25-19.
- Leading the team in kills were Maycee Ward with 9 and Josephine Thompson with 7.
- Briseida Landa had 16 digs and Lauren Soliday added 15.
- Serving highlights came from Josephine Thompson, who served 19/21 with 9 aces, Lauren Soliday with 12/13 and Devyn Smith added 7/7.
In JV action: set scores were 25-15, 25-14 and 25-12.
- Highlights include Lexi Stotko with 5 kills, Maya Hannah and Brenda Alonso with 4 kills and Natalie Solorio and Melanie Marin each added 2.
- Brenda Alonso led the team with 10 digs.
- Behind the service line- highlights came from Lexi Stotko, who served 19/20 with a streak of 9 serves in the second set, Brenda Alonso served 11/11, Jenny Cesar-Alonso served 5/5 and Natalie Solorio added 3/3. The JV served 23 aces as a team.
The Trojans will play on the road Thursday in Lake Roosevelt with JV to start at 5pm and Varsity to follow.
