Both the Chelan and Manson football teams are looking forward to this week’s official start of the 2018 season
The Chelan Goats, under Head Coach Travis Domser, are anxiously awaiting the Friday night home opener in a non-league matchup with the Brewster Bears. Of the 45 players on the Chelan roster, 30 are returnees from last year’s squad and hopes are high.
Coach Domser says the Defense will be anchored by senior Skyler Gordon while the Offense is in good hands with senior quarterback Quinn Stamps and running back Erik Acala.
When asked about this year’s Caribou Trail League favorites, Domser says the chase for a league title goes through Okanogan. Meanwhile, Chelan expects a tough matchup with a well-coached Brewster team and the Friday night game at Sargent Field in Chelan will start at 7pm.
