Chelan Softball had their hands full with a fiesty Granger team in a double-header on Saturday but at the end of the long day, their powerful offense and defense was more than Granger could handle.

Chelan Goats Varsity Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Granger in First Game

Chelan Goats Varsity Snagged A Late Lead And Defeated Granger 13-5 On Saturday. The Game Was Tied At Four With Chelan Goats Varsity Batting In The Bottom Of The Fifth When Jade Hatherell Singled On A 1-2 Count, Scoring One Run.

Chelan Goats Varsity Secured The Victory Thanks To 11 Runs In The Fifth Inning. Chelan Goats Varsity Batters Contributing To The Big Inning Included Ashley Oswald, Lexie Gleasman, Hatherell, Casey Simpson, Taylor Boykin, And Oswald, All Driving In Runs In The Inning.

Goats Got On The Board In The First Inning. Chelan Goats Varsity Scored On A Stolen Base During Boykin’s At Bat. Then Boykin Singled.

Leanna Garfoot Toed The Rubber For Chelan Goats Varsity. She Allowed Eight Hits And Four Runs Over Five Innings, Striking Out Three. Taylor Sams Came In Late In The Game To Finish Off Granger.

Chelan Goats Varsity Had 19 Hits In The Game. Oswald, Sierra Shively, Gleasman, Hatherell, Boykin, And Nayeli Zavala All Managed Multiple Hits For Chelan Goats Varsity. Oswald Went 4-For-4 At The Plate To Lead Chelan Goats Varsity In Hits. Gleasman Made The Most Plays With Five.

Chelan Goats Varsity Holds Off Granger As 6-Run Deficit Is Nearly Erased

Despite seeing its six-run lead whittled down by the end, Chelan Goats Varsity still held off Granger for a 12-10 victory on Saturday. Granger scored four runs in the failed comeback on a stolen base by undefined and a stolen base by undefined.

Sierra Shively collected four hits in five at bats to help lead Chelan Goats Varsity to victory.Shively tripled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fourth, and singled in the sixth.

Taylor Sams led things off on the hill for Chelan Goats Varsity. She allowed 18 hits and ten runs over seven innings, striking out two and walking zero.
The Granger pitcher allowed 19 hits and 12 runs over six innings, striking out six.

Chelan Goats Varsity scattered 19 hits in the game. Shively, Lexie Gleasman, Casey Simpson, Ashley Oswald, Erin Hatherell, and Jade Hatherell each collected multiple hits for Chelan Goats Varsity. Gleasman and Shively all had four hits to lead Chelan Goats Varsity.

Chelan Goats Varsity was sure-handed in the field. Sams had the most chances in the field with seven. Chelan Goats Varsity stole ten bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Shively led the way with four.
