Board Approves Earnest Money Agreement

During an Executive Session on Friday, the Manson Parks Board voted to approve a $25,000 earnest money agreement with Manson Lakeshore Properties, LLC.
The Board is pursuing the purchase of the nearly half-acre property at 91 Wapato Way in Manson, commonly known as “Ernie’s Service Station”. Completion of the purchase is dependent upon a series of steps, including a combination of public and private funding resources, and a grant proposal which will be reviewed by the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO).
The earnest money places Manson Parks in first purchase position pending the outcome of the grant proposal and other funding options.
