The Chelan Fire & Rescue Report

Chelan Fire and Rescue responded to a residential structure fire last night (06/07/2018) around 22:58 p.m. at 258 Apple Acres Road.

Engine 71 was first on scene and reported a fully involved single story residential structure fire. All family members were out of the structure and accounted for. Engine 71 initiated a defensive fire attack to contain the fire to the building of origin.

A 2nd Alarm was requested for additional manpower and water tenders. There are no fire hydrants in the area so water tenders from Chelan Fire and Rescue, Orondo and Manson were used to establish a water supply.

No exposures were damaged and the fire was brought under control around 23:58 p.m., one hour after the initial 911 call was received. A total of four engines, three tenders and an air support unit with 20 fire personnel responded to the fire. An additional engine with four personnel moved up to cover the city.

Three Chelan County Deputies and three personnel from Lake Chelan EMS also responded to the fire.
