Heavy snow and wind expected on Stevens Pass and Washington Pass

The National Weather Service has issued an Urgent – Winter Weather Message for Western Chelan and Western Okanogan Counties – including Holden Village, Stevens Pass and Washington Pass.
WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM PST TUESDAY…
* WHAT…Heavy snow expected above 3500 feet. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 15 inches. Winds could gust as high as 40 to 50 mph on ridgetops and west exposures.
* WHERE…Holden Village, Stevens Pass, and Washington Pass.
* WHEN…Until 10 AM PST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS…Plan on winter driving conditions on Highway 2 near Stevens Pass, and Highway 20 over Washington Pass. Strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines and result in areas of blowing snow.
