A potentially strong winter storm Tuesday night into Wednesday is forecasted to bring heavy snow over the Cascade Mountains and a significant portion of the Inland Northwest.
Precipitation will increase Tuesday evening with the highest intensity coming Wednesday morning.
Freezing rain forecast for Friday into Saturday
Temperatures will modify through the week with multiple weather systems swinging across. There is increasing confidence that a warm layer aloft will become present with a transition from snow to freezing precipitation before surface temperatures warm above freezing.
Late Thursday night into Friday morning looks have the best potential for widespread freezing rain. Impacts to travel will be the main concern.
