National Weather Service calls for weekend snow

A weather system will bring cooler temperatures and lowering snow levels to the region this weekend. Snow levels will be low enough for snow to start to impact travel over Cascade mountain passes by Saturday evening, and rain changing over to snow in the valleys of Northeast Washington and North Idaho overnight Saturday into Sunday.
Expect winter travel conditions over Stevens Pass, Sherman Pass, and Lookout Pass Saturday night.
