Washington Federal Bank Donates $7,500 to Chelan Valley Housing Trust

Donation Goes to Building Affordable Homes in Chelan

Chelan Valley Housing Trust (CVHT) recently received a $7,500 grant from Washington Federal Bank earmarked for the building Emerson Harbour Townhomes.

“We know how crucial affordable housing is to Chelan and love what Chelan Valley Housing Trust is doing to make a difference in our community,” reports Ken McLain, WaFd’s Central Washington Regional President.

“Supporting the Chelan Valley Housing Trust is important to WaFd Bank because we want to see everyone in the community thriving where we live and having access to affordable housing is crucial to that success!” added April Wiggins, WaFd’s Branch Manager.

CVHT is building these six 2-bedroom/1-bath homes located on Nixon and Emerson Streets in Chelan. These homes will be attainable for local wage earners making 120% Area Median Income or less, according to Scott Meyers, the trust’s Executive Director. It is anticipated that homes will be finished this spring.

Chelan Valley Housing Trust’s Mission is to develop stable and secure housing that is attainable to Chelan, Chelan Falls and Manson wage earners.
