Saturday’s Halloween festivities featured a first for Historic Downtown Chelan – an hour-long parade of costumed kids in nearly 300 cars! This year, the Historic Downtown Chelan Association (HDCA) hosted a drive-through trick-or-treat and handed out over 700 Halloween goody bags.

Eight teams entered the first-ever “Car-stume” contest, and online voting is now open to choose the winner! Visit the HDCA website to cast your vote for your favorite team.

Voting will be available until Sunday, November 8th, and only one vote is allowed per email address. The winners will be announced on Monday, November 9th and will receive $250 in Chamber Bucks!

Thank you to the many volunteers who helped to make this event possible, and to our community for making this year’s Halloween in historic downtown Chelan a memorable one! Special recognition to Apex Building Services for providing Halloween bags & candy, Kelly Allen Insurance Agency and Chelan District 7 Firefighters Association for their generous candy donations as well as all the stores in Historic Downtown Chelan for donating candy and goodies for every bag.
