Expect delays on US 97-A and US 2
Road crews from WSDOT and Chelan County are working to complete maintenance and construction projects ahead of winter on US 97-A below Knapps Hill Tunnel and along Hwy. 2 from Leavenworth to Nason Creek.

Tuesday through Thursday: maintenance US 97A Both Directions
Description: On US 97A between milepost 224 and 225 (Knapps Hill north of Entiat) Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., there will be flagger controlled traffic with delays there a crew is surveying adjacent rock slopes.

Tuesday into Wednesday: US 2 Both Directions
Description: Nason Creek Rest Area on US 2 at milepost 82, 17 miles west of Leavenworth is closed beginning at 4:44 pm on October 10, 2023 for approximately 24 hours for maintenance.

Monday through Friday now through December: US 2 Both Directions
Description: On US 2 between milepost 94 and 95 (Tumwater Canyon west of Leavenworth), Monday through Friday, there will be intermittent flagger-controlled traffic with delays with eastbound shoulder closure and frequent vehicles entering/exiting the roadway at the dam site through December.

Wednesday and Thursday: US 2 Both Directions
Description: On US 2 between milepost 99 and 100 (Leavenworth), Wednesday and Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., there will be flagger controlled traffic with delays where the contractor is installing permanent pavement markings. Project is scheduled to wrap up Oct. 12.

Wenatchee — Now through early November: SR 285 Both Directions
Description: On SR 285 at milepost 3 (McKittrick Street in Wenatchee), As of June 19, there are lane shifts and center turn lane closures at the intersection of SR 285 and McKittrick Street. Access from SR 285/N. Wenatchee Avenue to McKittrick Street is closed. This phase of the project is scheduled to wrap in early November.

East Wenatchee — Now through October 16: SR 28 Both Directions
Description: On SR 28/Sunset Highway between Eastmont Avenue and Hadley Street in East Wenatchee, Monday through Friday nights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.; there will be flagger-controlled traffic with delays of up to 20 minutes. Project is scheduled to wrap up Oct. 16.
