National Make A Difference Day is an annual community service event which is held on the fourth Saturday in October.
It was created in 1992 by USA Weekend magazine and subsequently became a Points of Light project. This event represents the largest national day of community service for over 25 years, utilizing the time and talents of millions of people who unite in the common mission of improving the lives of others.
