Funding Supports Food2Schools Food Distribution
Information released by Thrive Chelan Valley
Last week, we received the exciting news that our Food2Schools Program was the recipient of a $3000 Helping Hands Grant from the Community Foundation of North Central Washington (CFNCW) to support our weekend food support for Chelan and Manson youth.
This generous support will allow us to serve to over 1000 bags of food and help fill the bellies of local food insecure students during weekends.
With the news of school closures statewide for the remainder of the 2019-20 year, our Cares Team has formulated plans for how we can continue serving students with weekend meals through mid-June. This financial support from CFNCW ensures was crucial in ensuring that we can continue this needed service for Chelan and Manson students.
We are extremely appreciative of the ongoing support we’ve received from CFNCW which directly supports our programs and local youth.
