Tuesday predicted to be the hottest day so far this summer
Information compiled
The National Weather Service indicates the majority of North Central Washington and the Inland Northwest will be well into the 90s on Tuesday, with some areas including Moses Lake and Tri Cities predicted to hit triple digits.
Fire officials are asking the community to take extra precautions in the high heat and dry conditions to help prevent fires. Anyone who sees smoke, or even suspects they see smoke, should immediately call 911. Firefighters would rather check on a false alarm than miss an opportunity to attack a potential fire quickly.
