Winter Advisory Issued for Mountain Passes

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for parts of Chelan and Okanogan Counties, especially at or above elevations greater than 4,000 feet. The advisory remains in effect until 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Accumulations of snow are anticipated between 6 and 16 inches, with winds gusting up to 35 mph.
Traffic could be difficult including Washington Pass (North Cascades Highway – SR 20), Stevens and Snoqualmie Passes. Travelers are urged to slow down and use caution while driving. Prepare for possible power outages.
