Check Current Road Conditions Before Traveling Mountain Passes

I-90/Snoqualmie Pass was closed off and on through the night due to spinouts. It has since been reopened in both directions. WSDOT reports heavy snow with whiteout conditions and chains are required on all vehicles except all wheel drive. For current road conditions, visit the WSDOT website or call 511.

Current Conditions: (as of 6:02 a.m. Friday)

Snowing heavy, near white out conditions. Compact snow and ice on the roadway. I-90 Both directions milepost 47, near Denny Creek to milepost 71, near Easton: Chains required all vehicles except all wheel drive, oversize vehicles prohibited. WSP is on scene performing chain enforcement checks. Travelers are experiencing up to 30 minutes of added travel time.

Friday, 11/13/2020: 10:00 a.m. I-90/Snoqualmie: The pass is open both directions with chains required on all vehicles except AWD/4WD.

Friday, 11/13/2020: 8:45 a.m. I-90/Snoqualmie: Eastbound is closed, just west of the summit/MP 47/Denny Creek to clear spinouts. Chains required westbound.

Friday, 11/13/2020: 5:45 a.m. I-90/Snoqualmie: Open both directions with chains required. Snowing heavy, whiteout conditions.

Thursday, 11/12/2020: 11:59 p.m. Westbound I-90 is open with chains required. Eastbound remains closed at North Bend. Heavy snowfall.

Thursday, 11/12/2020: 11:10 p.m. I-90 is closed both directions at eastbound/North Bend/MP 34 & westbound/Easton/MP 71, due to blocking spinouts. No estimated reopening.

Thursday, 11/12/2020: 10:45 p.m. I-90 Eastbound closed just west of the summit (MP 47)
