Nighttime work scheduled near intersection of Woodin and North Sanders in Chelan

information released

A contractor for the Washington State Department of Transportation will replace cabinets and controller boxes for signal lights at multiple locations in Moses Lake, Chelan and Quincy between Sunday Oct. 27 and Friday Nov. 1. Work is scheduled for both days and nights.

Daytime work will include shoulder and right-turn lane closures at the following locations:

  • SR 17 in Moses Lake, at the intersection of:
    • Wheeler Road (milepost 53, Oct. 31)
    • Broadway Avenue (near milepost 54, Oct. 31), and
    • Stratford Ramp Terminal (milepost 55, Nov. 1.)

In addition, nighttime work will require lane closures and flagger-controlled traffic at intersections so the contractor can shut down the signals and perform the upgrades. That work is scheduled from Sunday Oct. 27 to Nov. 1, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the following locations:

  • US 97A, near the intersection of Woodin Street and North Sanders Street (milepost 234, Oct. 27) in Chelan.
  • SR 28, near the intersection of Central Avenue/SR 281 (milepost 29, Oct. 28) in Quincy.
  • SR 17, near the intersection of Frontage Road (milepost 50, Oct. 29), and near the intersection of Yonezawa Boulevard (milepost 51, on Oct. 30)

Updates on traffic control will be posted on the WSDOT real-time travel map.
