$55,752 grant allows purchase and installation of new radios and audio panels

installed Sheriff Mike Morrison reports the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office has secured $55,752.24 in funding from the Communication Tax Shared Funding Assistance Program. The awarded grant funding will cover the cost of new radios and audio panels, including installation, for both of the agency’s aircraft.
This funding again highlights the agency’s continued efforts to secure external resources in order to meet operational needs while remaining mindful of taxpayer contributions. By maximizing available outside funding, the agency continues to make every effort to ensure they can meet and exceed the expectations of the citizens served. These efforts align with the agencies mission of utilizing resources effectively, enhancing public safety and supporting its role of being steadfast allies to the communities served.
