On Thursday, May 16, 2025, at approximately 7:44 p.m., East Wenatchee Police Patrol units responded to a report of an assault and large disturbance near the intersection of 3rd Street NE and North Georgia Avenue.
The caller reported a fight involving several individuals and stated that approximately ten juveniles were seen fleeing north on North Georgia Avenue after gunfire was heard. Responding officers located multiple spent shell casings in the roadway upon arrival. Surveillance footage obtained from nearby residences showed nine male individuals running toward a nearby apartment complex.
East Wenatchee Police investigators quickly secured a search warrant for the apartment unit where eyewitnesses reported the suspects had entered. Given the high-risk nature of the situation and the presence of firearms, the East Cascade SWAT Team was deployed to assist in securing the scene and ensuring the safety of residents and officers.
All nine male juveniles were safely detained from the apartment, arrested, and subsequently transported to Chelan County Regional Justice Center (CCRJC) and Chelan County Juvenile Detention on charges related to the incident. A search of the apartment led to the recovery of three firearms, along with additional evidence connected to the disturbance.
