Club Members Gather at Nefarious Cellars for Wine Tasting

Weekly Update from Wednesday, August 28th: The Lake Chelan Senior Men’s Club, formed in 1999, held regular play on Wednesday at the Lake Chelan Golf Course. Prior to play, the Members welcomed guests Skip Lindsey and Jeff Anderson. And, Member Scott Patrick donned his new Sergeant of Arms hat and fined Scott McDonald for winning all four Club Game Competitions the previous week.
The winners of the Gross Score, Less Par 3’s, Less Half Your Handicap contest were Tom Fagerholm (Score 60), Mike Wilson and Gary Searle (Score 62), and Stefan Dobratz and John (Mr. VP) Hancock (Score 64). For the Most Fairways Hit competition, Pat Sullivan won first place (12 Fairways), Mike Storey and Scott McDonald tied for second place (11 Fairways) and George Nickle won third place (10 Fairways). Cliff House recorded the Longest Drive on Hole #14 with a distance of approximately 270 yards. The Most Chip-Ins Contest winner was Curtis Martin (2 Chip-Ins). The Mega Par 3 Closest to the Pin weekly winner was Pat Sullivan with a distance of 14’ 6”.
Members were reminded there would be a 3-Putt Fine Holiday for all golfers that repaired at least three ball marks or divots on the course greens. After play it was reported there were no visible ball marks or divots remaining on the greens and the Members were thanked for their efforts in repairing the greens.
The Club announced plans to hold a Field Day at Leavenworth Golf Course in early October. A request was made for one or more Members to volunteer to act as Field Day Captains for this travel event.
Members were reminded to sign-up for the 2nd Annual Tony Berger Memorial Golf Scramble Tournament scheduled for Saturday, September 14th and to mark their calendars for the 2019 Fall Club Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 25th.
The Senior Men’s Golf Club welcomes guests and prospective members for regular play on Wednesdays at the Lake Chelan Golf Course. For the month of September the Tee Time will be 9:00 AM and players should arrive at the course by 8:30.
